St Cuthberts Project Profile
The church had an old, smelly and inefficient oil heating system which had been initially designed as a solid fuel system but converted to oil some years ago. The ChurchEcoMiser team was called to the church to solve their heating problems.
We installed a new ChurchEcoMiser system with fourteen radiators providing good comfort levels, which bring the church to the required temperature in under an hour. The system works off two phases of incoming electricity. As well as been clean and efficient the system requires no ongoing maintenance unlike the previous oil boiler.
Set in the parish of Wilton-in-Cleveland, part of the Guisborough Deanery and the Diocese of York. The church is situated in the village of Wilton in the borough of Redcar and Cleveland and lies between Middlesbrough and Redcar. The parish consists of the villages of Wilton, Lazenby and Lackenby. St. Cuthbert’s Church has been the focus of worship for people of the area for hundreds of years and is a calm and inspiring space in what can sometimes be a busy and complex world.
